Azerbaijani sources spread information on various social networks stating that after the meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russian Federation, the Armenian ambassador stopped his work in the Armenian-Russian intergovernmental commission on military-technical cooperation.
In response to this information, the Armenian Embassy in Russia said that the next sitting of the Armenian-Russian intergovernmental commission on military-technical cooperation was postponed due to technical reasons, but not canceled.
The news of the ambassador's termination of work in the commission is a complete misinformation.
It should be noted that the sitting of the commission was supposed to be held from September 14 to 18, but was postponed again due to air restrictions as a result of the new type of coronavirus.
However, the postponement of the sitting has nothing to do with the recent military actions taking place in Nagorno Karabakh; the only reason is the lack of regular air communication between Armenia and Russia.
