One of the Russian news pages, quoting a part of the RA Ambassador in Russia Vardan Toghanyan’s interview to“Echo of Moscow”, informed that Armenia is working out a plan to evacuate the population of Nagorno Karabakh. Referring to “Politik.am”’s article with the caption of : “Armenia is working on a plan to evacuate the population of Karabakh” they have published an article stating: "Armenian authorities are considering the possibility of evacuation of the population of Nagorno-Karabakh in connection with the clashes with Azerbaijan in the region."
By examining the interview of the RA Ambassador Vardan Toghanyan to "Echo of Moscow" we inform that the ambassador did not talk about any plan of evacuation. As it has been mentioned in a conversation between “The Information Checking Center” and RA Embassy in Russia, V. Toghanyan’s words were presented out of the context.
During the interview, the ambassador spoke about the mobilization process and emphasized that an "air alarm" is being announced in Stepanakert, people are hiding in basements and bomb shelters, but there is no word about the organizing of evacuation.
As we have already informed: there is no mass displacement in the Republic of Artsakh. Moreover, the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia has already made a statement: by addressing to citizens not to make notes even on providing shelters to the population of Artsakh even due to humanitarian and patriotic motives.
